There is not much time left for anything thats about to end.
For the good, its exams. Ending on Jun 8th which is just 2 days from now. Speaking of which, there is not much time left for me to study either. I dont know bull crap in transition elements and its a long way to go. I have wasted a whole week on not studying. Or atleast 5 days. Furthermore, I could've gotten the card i was searching for, but I never looked in the right places. And well, i wasted more time. Also i wasted money.. and am still at it.
Enough about me, my cousin now. He's just come back from paki and hopefully if he's staying long enough, am looking forward to alot of fun and outing ... with him ofcourse. It was funny the way he came. The family kept it a secret all along, but just before 2 hours of his arrival time (because the flight was delayed) I get an instant message on microsoft's cute-helpful-msn messenger beta 7, 'Is he there yet?' from one of the cousins in PAKILAND. The bubble burst the cat out and what not. Although I havent met him yet, coz the flight was pretty late at night (delayed ofcourse).
Switching tracks, I recently came to know about a friend. Well, he's been a friend for a very long time, but it was just a lil more than acquaintance. He's been made a center of fun and what not very frequently and well, I used to join the party. But since I got to know the other side of the funny side, my respect for him has climbed leagues. He's the strongest of all the people (my age group) I know for now; and even though it may not seem to be as such .. it is. May Allah Bless You and Help you in all times - Aamen.

Deep Heat
No its nothing deep, it just the brand name of the medicinal spray that rests on my shoulder and neck at the moment. A searing pain grew while i slept and when i woke up i put on deep heat to fight the quite monster. Its good enough actually, Deep Heat smells bad ass. Infact so strong, that my fart smells like a decent jasmine air freshner when compared (yes, its been tested).
Anyways, I lead Maghrib Salah last night ... again. Not that I am flying proud about it, but its good and I like to do that. However a part of me doesnt.
Its a great thing actually. What bothers me is am I worthy of it?
A position like such demands certain characteristics and qualities, clearly hard for me to have them. At that moment in the mosque, its just three people and 2 of them push you coz either you have a beard or they are not confident enough or maybe they know that they themselves are not worthy.
Leading the prayers is actually very honorable, and not that I dont want to do it again, its just the thought that "SHOULD I be doing it", scrapes within the walls of my mind.
On the other hand, its a wierd sensation as well, coz as you order, a group of people who dont even know you (and after the prayers you may never see them again) do exactly as you tell them to do. Its Powerful. But only powerful enough for one to do what the ALMIGHTY wants them to. Me, I am just a connector, an integral one at that.
However, even if its a great thing, its not very. Many of us think that if we pray 5 times a day and fast regular, then we are pious. We are not.
Salah is imperative to a muslim, its obligatory, only because man is forgetful. Salah is just a daily reminder to oneself about Allah. Its been enforced so that we do not forget our Lord the way we usually do. Hence Salah is not piety, its just the first step. Therefore, for those who dont pray, they are no where close to what iman really is (and yes they should start) and those who do, there is more to come.
Like Iqbal said .. SITAARON SAY AAGAY JAHAN, AUR BHEE HAIN
ABHEE ISHQ KAY IMTAHAN, AUR BHEE HAIN

(line2 - there are more tests of love, even after this)
Quote of the day - Sometimes the most unimportant of all people tell you things that the most important of all people could never say.. well .. they couldnt, coz you are important to them.

the post that should've been here before
Exactly^^
So without further adue...
It's EXAM time again, but of higher significance than the normal ones which i didnt give a damn about. Boards, A Levels CAMBRIDGE GCE, FINAL, GRADUATION .. or whatever you might want to call it. Its all the same, coz your getting the same papers and the same marks :P
Hmm, the only good thing about it is that you get fresh papers and clean printed question sheets so u dont have to search for lines like on a photocopied one for the school exams. Oh yeah and also, we get ORANGE colored sheets for MCQ's YAY!
That orange cheerful color of my favourite fruit is a disguise on my least favourite paper. I had been practising ALOT of chemistry specially MCQ's and I didnt want anything to screw up the MCQ's except for them to screw up themselves; which is exactly what happened. Pathetic - to keep it short.
Allthough many would argue, but sorry am not the EN EE AR DEE, i used to be. I actually miss THAT me. The chubby excessively fleshy kid with fat superman glasses, cute and dumb on the face, a bully arcade, but a walking living text book of the GCSE CURRICULM ... :P .
Hmmmm.... No.
Well back to chemistry exam...
MCQ's were not good as they were, or actually, I didnt mind but it couldve been a lot better. A friend of mine was not feeling well, and then these MCQ's - he vomitted his disgust out in the kingdergarten toilet sink. I just washed my face.
Then came the real deal, the anxiously awaited A levels A2 extended Paper 4. I was praying when everyone had started. I had a feeling I needed to, even though 2 teachers had pointed me out to start. The first page - my jaw dropped, the second - my tongue rolled out, the third - I could see hell burning my feet.
Not even half way through the paper, I could sense the after exam buzz, and how i would love to stay away from it. I could here people talking, faces smiling like beacons and i could see myself walk to the water tank, drink, and fill my seat in the bus. The exam wasnt good.
Fortunately, i wasnt the only wounded. Infact, there were very few who never had any scratches and I have a feeling they do, but they just cant notice - for now.
I've never worked my ass out on any other exam like this. I cant imagine not sleeping before an exam, but I didnt this time, I was too scared / tensed or maybe just needed to study more. I entered the hall driven on 2 RED BULL's, a cup of coffee, and some ZAM ZAM (ty MUDDU) and i wasnt at all tired. Infact i felt fresh, prolly on overdrive.
My standards have been set on expectations. A is excellent, B is average and anything below that is failure. But more than that, I need to get an A for proving myself. Proving that I am not what I usually am in the normal exams. Proving that I can defy odds when i want to. And shutting up cans of laughter and talks of critique. Proving myself and earning my pride.
Yes, thats more of a reason.
May Allah Help me and All of us - AAmeen.

something unholy, in the holy.
I happened to pray 'ISHA' at Faisal Mosque - Shj, tonight. I was hoping I could meet Adnan bhaee, but then i remembered his hand had some surgery done a few week's ago, he may not be there. Or maybe i was just too late, OR maybe coz the mosque is tooooooo big .. (mashALLAH).
Anyways, an incident happened while i was on my way out. I saw a group of people hanging around outside the airconditioned area of the mosque. Its usual actually, only when they are smiling or talking. These werent.
A drunkard was the point of complete attention. I didnt need anyone to tell me that, noone did either. According to the buzz, he had entered the mosque, tried to pray and had fallen three times when he did. Then when he came out he couldnt stop 'dancing', and was caught 'coz people thought he was looking to steal something. Alas, he was actually drunk.
It was bad and even haram on his side (he claimed to be a muslim but i have my doubts), but it was worst by those so called 'LITERATE PIOUS MEDIUM/UPPER CLASS MUSLIMS'. He held him strong, didnt let him go. Then called up a gathering, pointed out he is drunk. And then one of them started slapping him, hitting him. Dumb I say.
They didnt show him the way OUT of the mosque - and probably gain some (sawab) out of it.
Instead :-
1. They made an unnecessary comotion and spread the drunkards condition. - wrong1
2. They kept him in the mosque holding him there, increasing his time. wrong 2
3. AND they hit him inside a holy place. wrong 3
I played no part though, except tell 2 people who stood with me watching the act of ignorance, why i think both were wrong. I was the youngest there, I couldnt voice what I felt. And with ignorance of that sort, I feared they'd consider me drunk too. Its a pity that emotions take the better of us and even when we are doing right, we exceed so much that it doesnt remain right anymore.
And they arent the only ones.
